Happy Friday!
I am sitting at my desk while writing this, my window overlooking a beautiful view of my birch tree swaying in the wind. I must admit, that out of all the trees, (and I do have many favorites) the birch tree ranks up in the top 3 for me. I love how the leaves look like they are dancing when the wind hits them. It's quite beautiful to watch and if you ever get the chance to see it, please take note of it. It will bring a smile to your face. :) But as I admire the dancing of the birch leaves, I'm reminded of why they are dancing, the wind is picking up and a storm is on the horizon. Nature is a true story teller, it allows us to read it's clues to what is to come. And hence, just like the swaying of the leaves on my beautiful 20 year old birch tree, I am reading a fascinating tale of, if I dare say, " a dark and stormy night." I've always told my children to watch for signs in the trees, they tell a story of things that have happened and of things to come, and with that the wind brings with it the clouds, clouds that once were white and fluffy have turned dark and grey with the wind: thunderclouds. It is nature's music and nature's story, as we open our books to read the pages that we write, let us also open our hearts, our ears and our eyes to see nature's story unfold and hear the music of the wind. Have a wonderful weekend, and as always, happy reading :)

Happy Monday!
As I sit here reflecting on my day and the fact that there are only a couple more weeks left in this month, I am reminded of something my mom and dad used to say to me. As a child I used to think summer lasted forever, from the moment the last school bell rang for the year until the first time it rang for the new school year, the time in between seemed to be a child's favorite eternity. Long days of nothing to do but what the heart's desire. My parents reminded me often that my dreamer's way of thinking would change as I grew older, "just wait until you have children, then your summers will go by in a blink of an eye,"they would say, but how, when as a child my days were endless and the end of summer was years away. But like all good thoughts as I child, we realize what our parents told us held much truth and as I became an adult and a parent, I found my parents wisdom ringing in my ears. It seems as summer just began and my youngest just beginning her celebration of her high school graduation and now we are preparing for her first year in college and the end of this year's summer days. As a writer, I do a lot of reflecting, from each of my days to my years of long ago, and I have learned to not take for granted those endless summer days that I remembered as a child. Each day passes with such a frenzy that we sometimes forget to step back and relish the gifts given us, we are on this earth for such a short time, each of us given a lot of time to make our time count, from the moment we take our first breath, we're one breath closer to our last, whether we're here for a day or 100 years. Our life becomes a journey....a marathon if you will... one we walk, each day is a step, each year a curve in the path, each season a mile until we cross the finish line. I hope that each of you take a moment to make the most of each summer you're given as well as every season, and that each year becomes a reflection of the love you have for family and friends and that your days remain endless and your nights are made of wander. Happy reading y'all and God Bless Happy Friday the 13th!!
I hope this day finds all of you in "good spirits," and that any luck you are having is good luck. I try not to let superstitions get to me, keeping in mind that it's just another day and that whatever pre-conceived notions there are about the 13th or any other day, is given it's err of mystery by us. We control whether we let such days intimidate us, scare us or intrigue us. If we look at it as just another day and not worry if a black cat walks in front of us, then we can make the most of the day and instead of letting the day get the best of us, we can get the best out of the day. the 13th is just a number, just like the #11 in my Kismet Series, there's nothing wrong in being guided by forces beyond us, but be sure you're being guided instead of being controlled. You are always in control. But don't get me wrong, I love a good ghostly scare, that's why I write the genre I do, but as I write each new story, I remember that I control what happens and any supernatural occurrences or unexplained activity comes from my imagination.... I hope each and every one of you have good luck on your side today and every day and remember....karma, good or bad, comes from what we put into it and feed it.... and grows from the source, so when karma comes for you, don't be surprised by how it looks ;) happy reading y'all and happy Friday the 13th Happy first day of summer! Summer takes me back to the days when the days were long, the sun shined brightly and the fireflies lightened your night. Crickets kept you company while they serenaded you and the season seemed to last forever. I remember sitting with my mom on our porch swing as we watched countless cars drive by, some honking when they passed while others waved and some even stopped to say a word or two, growing up in a small town, you knew everybody and if you didn't, it was only a matter of time before you did. We would relish the times when a summer thunderstorm would roll in, bringing with it a magnificent light show that decorated the clouds with colors of purple, orange and blue, the sound of clapping thunder added to the show while we watched with awe. I sometimes long for those endless days of summer, spent with friends at the local swimming pool, never a day went by where you wouldn't see somebody you knew either at the pool, or the park shooting basketball, playing tennis or just cruising in their cars and trucks. I do believe I put more miles on my parents' car driving back and forth from the park to the edge of town than they did, nowadays, you can find me taking a ride through the country with my jeep top down and my daughter and I cranking the radio as the music blared. I hope each and everyone of you enjoy this season to the fullest and take advantage of what the season brings and along with it please find the time to go for a swim, find a fishing hole walk barefoot watch a summer sunset and always find the time to read. May your days be blessed and your summer days be long.
Hello!
Blessings come from above and if you truly believe in your heart, and be positive, then good things will come your way. Every time I sit down to write, I think positive. Whatever your dream is, make it happen, nothing is gained by watching others prosper....leave negativity behind. Have a great day....and as always, happy reading! ingHello World!
I hope that this day finds you doing well....I want to thank each and every one of you who has either taken the time to send me a message or have purchased my books.....I have enjoyed so much reading your wonderful and thoughtful comments. It's been a wild ride since my first book, Kismet came out over two years ago....and as the journey continued with my second book, Karma and my third installment, Kindred Spirits, the pace has only gotten faster and I am in no ways or means ready to get off of this exciting ride! I am currently writing new stories and will continue to as I become more inspired everyday from events that enlighten me. I allow my emotions to sometimes take control of the wheel, and on occasion a twist and turn leads me into uncharted territory, but no worries...I always find my way and I look forward to many travels down many different roads as my life takes me on this wonderful and exciting journey. Like my running, my stories are a marathon and the finish line only takes me to another race......happy reading dear friends....and just remember, be kind, be honest, be aware....you never know, for the good or for the bad if our paths cross during my journey, you may just end up in one of my books....so be careful....hehe I believe that life happens for a reason. I believe that we are given a mind to use....to create and to give our opinions, whether they are warranted or wanted. We live in a land of the free and in a land that allows free speech. It is up to us to use that freedom wisely and tactfully. So many abuse the privileges that they are given. But those who judge others opinions for reasons that they do not agree or believe in themselves, are also being abusive.....be kind when needed but be honest at all times. We do not all have to look alike, think alike or act alike, if you choose to carry your appearance and grow your outward vanity in a way that makes others turn their head for good or bad, and then preaches that you don't like attention, you are the definitive of a hypocrite, be wise to those who form opinions, and be smart when looking in the mirror.....growing your vanity to such lengths that even an introvert wonders why you want to wear a broom for your appearance, should be ones' first red flag......if you are going to such lengths to show it, even when it doesn't look good, don't be critical when those judge you....opinions are only human nature and without them, even the light bulb wouldn't have been invented...may your light bulb turn on...so you can see what others see...don't be offended when you are judged for something you say you don't do....that there is a testament that you, yourself are just as judgmental..... brooms are for sweeping, and your opinions on boasting that you don't judge....need to be swept away....every one judges....including those who say they don't.....
